Sugargoo Size Guide: Read Seller Measurements
Start with the measurements for the exact listing and variant you want. A familiar size letter is only a starting point, not a promise of fit.
Read the chart before choosing a size
Seller charts vary. Check the units, whether numbers describe a body or a garment, and whether widths are measured flat or around the whole item. A flat width and a circumference are different measurements.
| Measurement | What to check |
|---|---|
| Garment length | Match the start and end points in the seller’s diagram. |
| Shoulder width | Compare the shoulder points shown in the diagram. |
| Sleeve length | Confirm whether the measurement starts at the shoulder or neck. |
| Chest and waist | Check whether the number is a flat width or a full circumference. |
| Laid-flat measurements | Compare a similar garment laid flat using the same method. |
Use the seller’s diagram to confirm each measurement; do not automatically double every chest or waist number.
Compare like with like
Measure a similar garment you already like wearing. Record its chest, length, shoulders and sleeves using the same method as the seller. Compare the full row, including any stated measurement tolerance.
Illustrative example: your sweatshirt measures 56 cm across the chest when laid flat. Compare it with a flat chest width in the listing. If the listing gives a full circumference instead, 56 × 2 = 112 cm is the corresponding comparison. This arithmetic does not predict comfort or fit.
Keep a short sizing note
- Save the chart for the selected variant.
- Write down the units and measurement method.
- Record the measurements that matter to you.
- Mark any missing or ambiguous field as a question.
For an unclear measurement, ask whether the agent can provide a specific measurement before approving shipping. Check the available service and fee. Review what QC photos can show.
Sizing FAQ
Should I always choose one size larger?
Use the actual chart and your measurements. A blanket size-up rule cannot account for different cuts, fabrics and sellers.
Can a size label in a photo confirm the fit?
It can help confirm the labeled option. You still need measurements to compare fit; a size label alone does not provide them.
